Ingredients
- 2 cup wheat flour
- 2 tsp gram flour
- 1 cup fenugreek leaves
- 3 tsp yogurt
- 1 tsp sesame seed
- 1 tsp carom seeds
- 1 tsp ginger and chilly paste,
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp red chilly powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp garam masal powder
- 3 tsp cooking oil
Step 1
- Wash and clean fresh fenugreek leaves, chop finely and keep aside.
- Take a large mixing bowl, add 2 cup whole wheat flour, add 2 tsp gram flour, 1 tsp sesame seed,, 1 tsp carom seeds, 1 tsp ginger and chilly paste, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp red chilly powder, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp garam masala powder now mix it well.
- now add 1 cup chopped fresh fenugreek leaves, add 3 big tsp curd and mix it properly.
- now add 3 tsp oil and then mix well, crumble with hands.
- Add very little water and knead to make a soft dough.
- Cover and keep the dough for 15-20 minutes. Add a tbsp of oil in the bowl and knead the dough again for a minute. Divide the dough into 10 equal balls.
- Dust and roll the balls to a 6-7 inch circle.
- Heat a griddle. Keep the thepla on the hot griddle and cook from both the sides till brown spots appear.
- Apply 1 tsp oil on both the sides and cook till spots darken and the thepla is cooked. Keep pressing the thepla with a flat spoon while it is cooking.
- Serve it hot to get best taste of it, with pickle and curd.
